Color Pics!

Here are the color pictures of Paige. I thought the UPS truck would never come this morning. I made him stay while I opened it and look at the pictures. He seemed actually happy that I ask him to stay and look at them. He said wow no ones ever asked me to stay before.



Several people have asked me what province she was in since I left that off my last post. I was a little frazzled yesterday.



She is at the Huazhou Social Welfare Institute, GuangdongProvince, People's Republic of China



We hope to travel to China in about 6-8 weeks to bring her home.

She is a cutie if I do say so myself!

American Name: Well, Paige of course. We haven't talked about her middle name since we got the referral, will let you know when I know.

Birthdate: November 19, 2008

At her medical check up (unsure of the date since all my papers are in Chinese still!) she weighed 17.8 lbs and was 28.1 inches.

Woo Hoo. I'll post the pics in color tomorrow when I get them.

WAITING....

Our agency confirmed referrals were in St. Louis and at 10:07 they said we should have an email in and hour. It is now 11:10 and no email. I'm dying here....

Now, just to preface, I think this email went out agency wide (not just to those with our log in date) so it really doesn't mean we are "in". But it is a good sign...


Dear Families,
The CCAA has updated their website and it states that referrals have been made through April 3rd. Congratulations!!! Karolyn and I will be going into the office tomorrow if referrals come. Please send me the address of where you want your referral sent to. We will be emailing you your referral information as soon as it arrives. We will be back to work on the 4th so please do not return your signed seeking confirmation letter until the 4th.

So at least now we know they WILL go into the office next week and send us our referral when/if they come in. Still no word on if referrals have been mailed from China yet, just that matches have been made. I'll keep you posted.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I can hardly wait for next week to see if we hear something from our agency. Just think Paige could really be over there waiting for us right now. I hope she is ok and knows we love her and are coming to get her. I don't know how many times I have thought, well she must be born by now and waiting for us; just for the wait to lenghten and then I think well I guess not, but now I think its true.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day and takes a little time to remember why we celebrate. Jesus is our greatest gift.

More Rumors!

New rumor today that the CCAA has changed their internal box to say that children have "been placed" through April 3, 2006! That should include us. Not sure how true this is or if so, when we will here about it from our adoption agency. Our agency is off for 2 weeks for the holidays. Not sure if a package is coming next week if they will go in to get it and translate the referrals or if we will have to wait until they go back to work on Jan. 4th. I sure hope not. I can hardly wait! Mike says I'm getting my hopes up too quick. I guess we've waiting so long now it is hard for him to beleive or let himself get disappointed another month. We shall see...

Trying to contruct this page so it will be ready when we get our referal information for Paige. We just found out today that the CCAA is rumored to be matching the next batch of referals which should include us.
